CONTRIBUTE

1

TIME

Socially conscious travelers are often keen to volunteer their time for a few days or a few weeks etc to help an organisation.  But often these travelers do not know who to trust or cannot afford the fees of a travel agent to set this up.  GloballyGOOD will solve this problem as verified Social Enterprises can register and advertise for free what they are looking for.

You could end up building a classroom, painting a roof, teaching children English, help organize a marketing plan, teach someone to sew, teach them to update their website, help disabled persons take a trip etc, etc.

2

MONEY

Often kind generous people will give to the likes of Red Cross and Save the Children, who do magnificent work as people feel they can trust them. This is true but much of their funding goes into the management of that which is costly.  Small amounts of money can go a long way for a grass roots Social Enterprise. Buying locally can be very cost effect. We will require reporting for all funding; and will have people on the ground doing random audits.

Imagine while traveling in Vietnam you know where to buy your lunch from a coffee shop that trains street kids, you could buy some gorgeous souvenirs  from a store that supports hill tribe women's health and use a tour guide who respects the rich cultural heritage of locals now that is a great holiday indeed.

WISDOM

You could be sitting in your armchair in Oslo or New York and have a valuable expertise that a Social Enterprise needs but does not have the funds to pay for someone like you. Imagine sharing your wisdom to help a group across the world if you knew what they needed?

There are heaps of expertise needed like: web designers, water specialists, NGO leaders, fashion designers, health professionals - just endless opportunities.
